Ship 30 for 30

Short punchy tweets are powerful. But the devil’s in the detail.

“Nothing more powerful than a man who doesn’t care if he’s liked.”

Ohhhh, man! Ego’s liking this. Yeah!

Then I started thinking about it. (Stuff happens when you think.)

What, doesn’t care if he’s liked by ANYBODY?

Well, that’s a bit lonely, yeah?

Weird fact #1: You don’t care to like other people, they ain’t gonna like you either. In fact, they might even HATE you. But hell, you don’t care ….

And then ….

Not even yourself?

Oh great. Now your SELF won’t like you either.

Weird fact #2: You gotta live with your Self. So now you’re insecure and depressed. Maybe even suicidal.

But hey! At least you’re powerful ….

And lonely, depressed and deeply insecure ….

Which makes you DANGEROUS.

To yourself and others.

We call such people sociopaths. (Or psychopaths.)

So humour me for a moment ….

Why don’t we try turning this boat around?

Start by caring enough to like yourself.

Hmmmm, okaaaayy.

Now at least, I’m not insecure and depressed anymore. In fact ….

Feelin’ kinda confidant ….

Now let’s add a trusted lifetime companion. Wife/husband ….

Now I’m not lonely either. Hmmm! Not bad.

This conversation thing’s kinda cool.

Now you ARE powerful.

Now add a few customers who’ll pay you well.

Wow, this is really looking up. Now you’re powerful and WEALTHY.

Now add a few, a VERY FEW, trusted, loyal and equally powerful friends/confidantes.

Who’ll drop everything to work with/for you, and for whom you’ll do the same.

Powerful?

That, and you’re a bloody SUPERHERO.
