Blockchain/NFT-based hiring does NOT solve two big hiring problems

Excited about web3 potential for improving the world?

Including hiring process and better work experiences for millions?

GOOD. You should be.

Buuuuut ….

🧵 There are 2 BIG problems blockchain/NFT-based hiring can NOT solve:

1. Do your past proven on-blockchain credentials guarantee future performance?

NOPE

They indicate (some of) your potential. That’s all.

Key phrase there: SOME OF.

Jut because you did X well to someone else’s satisfaction …

Does not guarantee me you will do it to mine, tomorrow.

Nor does it tell me ANYTHING about what UNDISCOVERED AWESOME POTENTIAL you might have.

2. Do I the recruiter LIKE you?

Irrelevant for repeatable verifiable tasks, with no ego-level communication.

Not many tasks like that.

All others …. if I don’t like you, you AIN’T GETTING HIRED. Period.

Or I like you NOW, but you piss me off in the future … FIRED.

• Technology solves gaps in human knowledge

• It does NOTHING for solving gaps in the human psyche
