9 Things King Solomon Knew Hyper-Successful Entrepreneurs Do, That Unsuccessful Ones Don’t

Old Sol spent a lot of print space in his Proverbs, talking about “kings”.

WHY? How many of us have a kingship waiting on our career path?

But if you park that for a moment, it’s real interesting to see WHAT Solomon thought a king should do, that the rest of us don’t.

Here are 9 of them:

1. Kings COMMAND
They don’t DO.

2. Kings DISCERN between right/wrong, wise/foolish, truth/lies
Easy, right?

That’s why kings make the big bucks. This kind of wisdom is hard-earned.

3. Kings HIRE
The wisest, and purest of heart, they can find.

Takes time, and they don’t always get it right. Which means ….

4. Kings FIRE
The not-so-wise, and the downright wicked.

Ain’t the king’s job to be nice with you. He has a kingdom to run.

5. Kings keep their EYES and EARS WIDE OPEN
Helps with #2.

6. Kings are EASY TO READ, PREDICTABLE, and CRYSTAL CLEAR
An unpredictable king makes life hell for his subjects.

Usually not long before there’s a knife in his back.

7. Kings are preoccupied with ORDER and JUSTICE
If they want their reign to be long and secure, that is.

8. Kings PICK THEIR BATTLES
Because they’re out to win the war.

Only a few battles are actually worth fighting.

9. Kings ACCEPT CORRECTION THEMSELVES
From those wise ones he’s hired.

Only the foolish king thinks he’s the smartest boy in the room.

Figured out the answer to WHY, yet?
