OK, maybe I should qualify that.

These are the 8 Best Headlines I’ve seen in the first 2 weeks. You’ve probably seen some that you’d put on this list. Post ’em in the comments! (Handles displayed are the writers’ Twitter handles, not Medium.)

From 50 to 500 followers in 50 days (@Kjellvdv). Whoa! A concrete recipe for 10X success! And 1:10:1 ratio! What’s not to love about THAT?

Why Every online community needs Discord (@pandymarino). Counterintuitive …. until I realized what Discord was! Didn’t matter, by then I was hooked.

How I accidentally discovered my niche on YouTube (@maneetpaul) Published in a writing community? Well THAT’S off the wall. Are we wasting our time with Twitter? This triggered both my fear response AND my desire for an easy success shortcut.

Someday you’ll regret how productive you were (@cathrynlavery) WHAT? Someone who DOESN’T want to be productive? Counterintuitive. Works every time.

The Rule of 5: A Guide to Making 1000 Friends Online in Next 12 Months (@thecolecarroll). Another concrete, specific recipe, that triggers my desire for a success shortcut. Fantastic.

The Secret to Confidence (@DavidJacob_1). Anybody got too much confidence? No? Then this hook will GET you. As it did me. Simple, effective.

I’m taking over Hypefury (@TheChrisHarry). Conspiracy Theory time. There’s a dirty little plot afoot, and he’s going to let me see the action before anyone else! GOT ME. (I think this might have been posted in Feb, so I might be cheating with this one.)

I’m struggling (@EmilyMindog). This triggered my sympathy response immediately. (Which is not why she did it, she was just being honest with herself and her followers. Nevertheless, it was an effective hook.)
